A 52% majority thinks Prabowo Will Win, Versus 41% Choosing Joko Widodo

Survey Methods

Results are based on telephone interviews with 1220 national adults, aged 18 and older, conducted June 10-21, 2014 . For results based on the total sample of national adults, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is ±4 percentage points.

Gallup Indonesia Poll Daily tracking results on the Prabowo- Joko Widodo race are based on telephone interviews with 2,536 registered voters interviewed June 10-15 and June 21, 2014.
Interviews are conducted with respondents on landline telephones (for respondents with a landline telephone) and cellular phones (for respondents who are cell phone only).

In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls

Prabowo Merasa Dekat dan Cocok dengan Kyai NU

PAMEKASAN -- Capres dari koalisi Merah Putih Prabowo Subianto sowan ke kyai dan ulama yang berkumpul di Pondok Pesantren Al Hamidy Banyuanyar, Pamekasan, Madura, Jawa Timur, Selasa (24/6). Saat berorasi, Prabowo mengatakan merasa dekat dengan kalangan kyai dan ulama.

Ia mengatakan sejak masih menjadi prajurit aktif sudah sering bersilaturahmi dan meminta doa dari para kyai.

"Karena itu kami sangat dekat sama kyai. Apalagi kyai Nahdlatul Ulama (NU)," katanya.

Prabowo mengatakan, NU merupakan ahlussunnah wal jamaah yang dia kenal dengan sebutan Islam mainstream. Ia mengatakan, NU merupakan Islam yang moderat.

"Islam yang melindungi semua agama dan semua suku, dan semua ras. Inilah islam yang sejuk, Islam nusantara, Islam merah-putih, Islam nasionalis," ujar dia.

Sebagai mantan prajurit, Prabowo mengatakan, selalu cocok dengan NU. Ia pun berkaca pada sejarah bagaimana para kyai dan ulama NU dalam membela bangsa dan negara.

"Setiap bangsa Indonesia dalam keadaan bahaya, para kyai Nahdlatul Ulama tampil ke depan untuk membela negara dan bangsa," kata jenderal purnawirawan bintang tiga itu.

Karena telah merasa dekat dengan kyai dan ulama NU, Prabowo berbesar hati menerima dukungan. Ia mengatakan, dukungan itu akan menjadi amanah bagi dia dan Hatta Rajasa, serta koalisi Merah Putih.

"Saya merasa besar hari, saya merasa semangat, saya merasa dapat dorongan besar dari saudara-saudara sekalian, dari para kyai, para ulama," ujar Ketua Dewan Pembina Partai Gerindra itu. (ROL)
